...things are about to move!
After multiple drive-by's at the block this week, things looked as if they would be on track for footings and slab to be poured this Thurs 30th and Fri 31st Jan.
A visit to the block this afternoon has left us very pleased as things are very much on track!
We have footings!

The black plastic and mesh have been laid also, so we look to be on track for a slab tomorrow!
The window frames have also been delivered, so things are definitely moving along now! Lets hope they can keep up the pace the whole way through!

There is still some earthmoving machinery left on site, so we are hoping it will be used to smooth out some of the fairly harsh cutting which was done to the site, leaving us with a sand hill border around the side and rear of the house, but I suspect it may just be waiting to be picked up and we might need to install some retaining, which is not what I want to spend the money that should be going toward the pool on, but of it has to be done, it has to be done!
